Employed chauffeurs
Vetted, licensed and discreet. You get the driver's name and number the day before.
Chauffeur for the day in Manchester
A car and driver at your disposal
Some days are not a single journey from A to B. A morning of meetings across the city, a day's shopping with bags to leave in the car, a client to show around, an event with stops either side — these need a chauffeur on hand for the whole time, not a series of separate bookings.
Hourly hire gives you exactly that: a Mercedes and a professional chauffeur at your disposal for the booked period, working as directed. You set the stops as the day goes, change the plan on the move, and the chauffeur waits between them without anything extra ticking over. The car is a base for the day as much as transport — somewhere to leave bags, take a call or wait out the rain.
The rate is agreed in writing before you start, so a full day is one fixed number rather than a meter you watch. Half-day and full-day bookings are available, with a minimum on the day we confirm at quotation.
From Manchester we cover Liverpool, Chester, Leeds and the wider North West by the hour, and can extend a day booking into onward or long-distance travel on request.

How it works
Book the time, use it as you like
Book the hours
Choose hourly, half-day or full-day for the time you need. We confirm the minimum and the fixed rate at quotation.
Direct the day
Set the stops as you go and change the plan on the move. The chauffeur waits between them, with the car as your base for the day.
One fixed total
The booked time is one agreed figure. Overrun is charged at the same hourly rate rather than a surprise premium, and confirmed with you first.
Mileage within the booked area is included in the rate. Longer runs — an onward journey or a day that turns into a long-distance trip — are simply added at the agreed rate with your say-so.
Who books it
Business, private and event days
Businesses book a chauffeur for the day to move a visitor or an executive between meetings without a separate car each time, or to show a client around the region with one driver who handles the logistics. It keeps a packed day running to time and puts the whole thing on one fixed rate rather than a stack of receipts.
Private clients use hourly hire for shopping trips, appointments, days out and occasions — anything where having the car wait is worth more than being dropped and left. Arabic and Portuguese-speaking chauffeurs can be requested, and a day booking can quietly become airport or long-distance travel if plans change.
- Executives and visitors across a day of meetings
- Client tours and roadshows with one driver
- Shopping trips with bags left in the car
- Events and occasions with waiting either side

FAQ
Hourly chauffeur questions
How much is it to hire a chauffeur for the day?
Hourly hire starts from £55 an hour, a half day from £200 and a full day of up to eight hours from £380. The rate is agreed in writing before you start, with waiting between stops already inside it.
Is there a minimum booking?
Hourly hire has a minimum on the day, usually three hours, which we confirm at quotation. Half-day and full-day bookings cover longer periods at a fixed rate.
What does "as directed" mean?
The car and chauffeur are yours for the booked time to use as you like — set the stops as the day goes, change the plan on the move, and the chauffeur waits between them without anything extra ticking over.
What happens if I run over the booked time?
Overrun is charged at the same hourly rate, not a premium, and we confirm it with you before it runs on. There is no surge between stops or per-drop charge.
Can the driver wait while I'm in meetings or shopping?
Yes — that is the point of hourly hire. Waiting is included for the booked period, and the car doubles as a base to leave bags, take a call or wait out the weather.
